Character Name: Dr. Kiyoto Maki/The Dinosaur Greeed
Character Canon: Kamen Rider OOO
Canon Background: Here's a wiki link!
Omegafriends Background: Most of Maki's canon background applies here. He still worked for Kougami, still studied the Medals, still became a Greeed, and still tried to end the world in much the same fashion as he did in canon.

The biggest difference between Maki's Omegafriends background and canon is that he didn't die after getting sucked into that black hole. In true Saturday Morning cartoon fashion, he only looked thoroughly defeated and blown up. In reality, he was only injured badly enough to lay low and go into hiding for a while. That black hole opened up a tear into a void, stranding Maki there for some time. There in what remained of the Medal Vessel, he began to rebuild his resources. He eventually managed to set up a laboratory in the remains of the Medal Vessel, as the void's sheer nothingness proved to be an inspiring and relaxing environment for him. He began to intensify his research on the Medals, which led to him regaining five of the purple Cores that had transformed him into a Greeed in the first place.

Once Maki felt he was in good enough shape to resume his quest to bring about the end of the world, he set his sights on Venture City. He'd had enough of Tokyo, and all of those other dinosaurs attacking a while back gave him ideas. There's just something about the place that draws dinosaurs to it, and so many superheroes hanging around the place make for so many interesting desires...

Personality: Maki is not a terribly emotive man. He often appears bored or uninterested, and he detests wasting his time with idle chit-chat. He has a very low tolerance for frivolity, and he prefers to be left alone and undisturbed. Maki is happiest when he has control over his environment and the people in it. He has little use for others beyond what they can do for him; he'll grudgingly tolerate their ridiculousness if he believes there is something to gain from it. For example, he puts up with Kougami's cake fixation and constant stream of birthday parties because Kougami is providing him with funding for his research. Once he no longer needs that, he's happy (at least as happy as Maki ever gets) to move on. He does not care who or what he might find himself allying with as long as he gets the job done. Concepts like honor or loyalty hold no meaning to him; they just get in the way.

Though he is quiet and unemotive, Dr. Maki is still extremely eccentric. He's very fond of his creepy little doll, Kiyo-chan, and he frequently accessorizes it with outfits and does things like setting up tea for it or putting it to bed. He does this in as deadpan and unemotive a manner as possible, as though it weren't anything at all strange. His affection and attention to the doll extends past a simple case of a grown man playing with toys at strange moments; he carries it with him at all times, and he requires it in order to function properly. When he speaks to someone else, he makes eye contact with the doll most of the time if he does not have some other task he's occupying himself with. If he makes actual eye contact with anyone he's speaking with, it's generally a narrative mark of things being Very Serious. If the doll is disturbed, he will generally flip out and be unable to properly function until he's righted it again.

Dr. Maki is obsessed with the idea of endings. In his mind, a thing cannot be properly judged until it has ended. Endings bring an end to change, meaning that once a thing is finished, it will remain forever constant. This is why he wishes to end the world--so it cannot change, and then it can properly be judged. He is driven by this desire for things to end. He sees those who do not agree with his vision as fools or unneccessarily sentimental. Ending everything is, in his mind, the best way to prevent humanity from causing too much more damage thanks to their rampant desire. Maki does not revel in destruction for destruction's sake; it must be destruction with an eye towards a thing's ultimate ending for him to truly appreciate it. Collateral damage is necessary at times, but the best destruction is planned and intentional.

He is a planner, but his plans can easily be thrown awry by factors he has not forseen because he does not understand them. To put it simply, in canon, Maki can accurately plan on Date failing to read an instruction manual, but he is wholly unprepared for Gotou reading the instruction manual for Date and helping his friend. Maki thinks Ankh is just another Greeed who will act only on his own desires; he's not expecting Ankh to have developed some sort of feelings and a friendship with Eiji, which ultimately plays directly into Maki's defeat. Because Maki dislikes other people and has no friends, it's difficult for him to anticipate the actions of those who do. Just because he'd throw others away in a heartbeat does not mean that others would do the same thing. He's very aware that this is an issue now, but he still doesn't understand it. It's a difficult and dangerous variable, and an actual understanding of the concept will forever elude him.

Powers: For better or for worse, Dr. Maki is now a Greeed. Because he was originally a human, he is a bit stronger than a normal Greeed; in canon, once he gets the hang of his powers, it's easy for him to cause catastrophic damage to the other Greeed. Maki can fire blasts of purple energy and take a monstrous Greeed form that is a force to be reckoned with in combat. He can sense desire, Yummies, and other Greeed. Unlike other Greeed, he does not need to use a human host to create a strong Yummy, a monster that will feed off of desire and generate Cell Medals. He instead uses objects that represent some sort of desire, inserting one Cell Medal into the object to begin the process. For example, in canon, he uses one on a second place trophy representing someone's shattered dream, and the Yummy spawned from this went around shattering other people's dreams until it was stopped. Yummies created in this manner will take on forms reminiscent of dinosaurs or mythical creatures. Maki can also use the Cell Medals independently of an object to create Trash Yummies, which are weaker grey Yummies that serve no specific desire but serve well as an army of generic mooks.

Because it's funnier this way than in canon, when Dr. Maki takes his Dinosaur Greeed form, his doll will take the same form. Is it some manifestation of Maki's power? The doll's power? Maki will never tell. The doll gains no additional benefits or drawbacks; it's still just a doll, just one that looks like a dinosaur monster. The doll also seems to move around when no one is looking at it. (In canon, its pose will change as soon as it's out of the shot.) Is Maki simply posing it very quickly? Does it move on its own? It is a mystery. (Terrifyingly enough, the doll has been shown in canon to blow out birthday candles without Maki's interference...)

Dr. Maki has also gained a few abilities thanks to the manner in which Kamen Rider OOO so soundly defeated him. He now has the ability to open up a small, door-sized black hole in order to make an escape back to his pocket dimension void and his lair inside the remains of the Medal Vessel. He can survive out in this void, which might prove to be taxing for ordinary humans or other Greeed. The lair he maintains there is mostly a laboratory, though there is a small living space and a not-so-small closet full of doll accessories.

Before he became a Greeed, Dr. Maki was already an accomplished scientist with a genius-level intellect. He created and built a number of Medal-powered devices, including the Candroids, the Ride Vendors, and the Birth System, which allowed users to become Kamen Rider Birth. His designs often seemed somewhat fanciful despite his dour countenance; it is uncertain as to whether or not he was doing this at the behest of his employer, Kougami, or if this was just his own sense of whimsy. After all, this man created a power suit designed for battle, and said power suit was modeled on gashapon machines of all things. Maki could create another Birth System if he so desired providing he had the proper resources. He still maintains a small supply of Candroids, can-shaped-and-sized robots that open up into various animal forms. Each Candroid has its own specific function. For example, the Hawk Candroids can fly and perform surveillance tasks, while the Grasshopper Candroids can serve as communications devices.

Although Maki possesses a wide array of strengths, he also operates with a few drawbacks. Being a Greeed means that his senses are dulled. He can't taste food or smell anything. Colors are dull and muted, and sounds are muffled and not very clear. This does not seem to bother him too much, but it is still a weakness that could be exploited by the right people. On his own in his human form, he is a terrible combatant--he's only capable of being an actual menace in combat when he's in his Greeed form. His doll also creates a remarkable weakness in that disturbing it will distract or incapacitate Maki for a while. Maki can also be distracted with fire under very specific circumstances; if the scenario reminds him of the house fire that he started which killed his sister, he will momentarily lock up and be unable to act. (Setting his doll on fire is particularly effective...yet, for whatever reason, the doll will never take any serious damage beyond a little cosmetic charring.)

Sample: I've got him on the Test Drive Meme here.
